어제 8월 24일 1시 30분경에 서해선 부천종합운동장역에서 선로 사망사건이 발생했다. 20대 여성이 자살한 것이라고 하는데.. 공교롭게도 2시 쯤 인천 1호선에서 서울 1호선으로 환승해 소사에서 서해선을 타려는 동안 사고가 났다는 문자가 도착했다.
[부천시청] 오늘 13:30경 서해선 부천종합 운동장역 인명사고발생. 소사역 ~부천종합운동장역 ~원종역구간까지 일시 운행중단하오니 서해선 이용객은 다른 교통수단을 이용바랍니다.
문자를 받을 때 부천종합운동장역은 이미 지났고 환승할 소사역에 가까워지고 있어서 약 20분 뒤 도착하면 환승이 될까 생각하다가 보니 소사역이다. 내려서 서해선 환승으로 달려가보니 역시나 역무원이 기차 안 온다고 다른 거 타란다. 이 때가 2시 20분 쯤
어쩔수 없이 다시 1호선을 타고 서울로 들어가려고 하니 또 기차가 안 온다. 무려 열차 세 대 도착 시간이 지나서야 2시 50분쯤에 기차가 들어온다. 1호선 쌩 야외 승강장에는 사람들로 꽉 찼고 여기저기서 시씨 소리가 들렸다. 1호선 기차는 또 얼마나 후졌는지...
열차가 지연된 이유는 지하철 파업 때문이라는데 왜 딱 2시경에 그것도 서해선이 중단 되었을 때 였을까?
서해선으로 환승해서 대곡으로 가려던 계획은 완전히 무너지고 종로3가로 가서 3호선으로 갈아타야 했다. 무려 한시간이나 돌고 돌아 가야 했던 것이다.
그런데 뉴스에 서해선이 2시 55분에 정상화 되었다고 한다. 조금만 더 기다렸으면 서해선을 탈 수 있었을까? 그때까지 정상화 역내 방송은 전혀 없었다.
